We know that success in algebra begins by building a conceptual understanding of math in the early grades. That is why in 2013 we created Eureka Math®, setting a new standard for teaching and learning with the first math curriculum to receive all green scores from EdReports. And it’s why in 2021 we raised the bar once again with Eureka Math2®. And while there’s a lot that’s new in Eureka Math2 to get excited about, one thing that remains is that it’s another top-rated curriculum from Great Minds®

"I am truly shocked. In my experience, no resource change has made such an immediate impact on performance."

—Joy Engel, Assistant Superintendent, Turner USD, Kansas City, KS

EdReports gave Eureka Math2 top marks across all evaluated categories: focus and coherence, rigor and mathematical practices, and usability in the classroom. Their review focuses on whether materials meet rigorous indicators and criteria in these three distinct gateways. These program evaluations aim to empower schools and districts with information to choose the best curricula to meet their local needs. Their math content review team consists of outstanding classroom educators, district coaches, and state content leaders who deeply understand the college- and career-readiness standards and the importance of high-quality instructional materials on student outcomes.

"Eureka Math2 does a great job at using mathematics as a story. It starts from basic understanding and moves to more complex understanding within each module. The stories make it real for the students. It brings the students into math and mathematical thinking."

—Tracey Noe, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Goshen Community Schools, Goshen, IN

Eureka Math2 includes new digital resources, embedded assessments, increased opportunities for student discourse, and accessibility features designed to advance equity in the classroom and ensure all students can succeed. Our research-based curriculum supports the development of strong computational skills, deep conceptual understanding, and procedural fluency in mathematics. Students learn to apply what they know toward solving real-world math problems and make connections between math and subjects like art and history

"Our teacher–writers and mathematicians wrote Eureka Math2 to help students develop enduring math knowledge and highlight how it is seen in everyday life. The curriculum supports teachers in creating joyful learning experiences that allow all students to succeed. We're glad the reviewers at EdReports echoed what educators around the country are saying," said Great Minds CEO Lynne Munson.

After seeing students make significant gains in math across grades this year with Eureka Math2, Joy Engel, assistant superintendent at Turner USD schools in Kansas City, Kansas, said, "I am truly shocked. In my experience, no resource change has made such an immediate impact on performance."

Tracey Noe, executive director of curriculum and instruction at Goshen Community Schools in Goshen, Indiana, told the Goshen News, "Eureka Math2 does a great job at using mathematics as a story. It starts from basic understanding and moves to more complex understanding within each module. The stories make it real for the students. It brings the students into math and mathematical thinking."

EdReports evaluated Eureka Math2 for grades K–8. The curriculum extends from Prekindergarten (PK) through Algebra I or Mathematics I (an integrated mathematics program). It builds on Great Minds's reputation as a leading developer of high-quality math materials. We encourage you to take a moment to review Eureka Math2 and see how this top-rated, high-quality instructional curriculum can fit the needs of your math classrooms.
