Learning in Action with Eureka Math2
A Video Study of a Eureka Math² Classroom
Do you want to see what learning in a Eureka Math2 classroom looks like in action?
Step inside a second-grade classroom at Greenbriar Elementary in Indianapolis, IN, and see how math knowledge builds with Eureka Math2®. You’ll explore how Eureka Math2 lessons are structured to support teachers with activating student knowledge from previous lessons and then introducing new concepts. Our math story develops intentionally over time, allowing students to revisit and apply previously learned concepts in new contexts through interwoven, distributed practice, further supporting them as they develop and eventually master the standards.
In addition, students and teachers alike will experience a predictable lesson pattern of Fluency, Launch, Learn, and Land. Each of these lesson structures serves an important role in creating the cognitive conditions that are optimal for student learning by attending to students’ cognitive load. Watch how this dynamic group of second graders embraces the program's student-centered instructional model in which students enthusiastically participate in rigorous math learning, model their thinking with manipulatives, engage in student-to-student discourse, and more.
