Lead: Facilitating Successful Implementation with Eureka Math2
In this one-day session, Eureka Math2 facilitators introduce school and district leaders to the curriculum and provide guidance on how leaders can best support their teachers during implementation. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
Launch: Bringing Eureka Math2 to Life
In this one-day session, teachers who are new to math curriculum from Great Minds will investigate the structure, design, and components of Eureka Math2 while engaging with the curriculum's print and digital resources. Teachers will explore the instructional role of all the curriculum resources (including Eureka Math2 Equip™ for those who also adopt the premium assessment tool) and be prepared to facilitate lessons with students. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
Power Up: Transitioning to Eureka Math2
In this one-day session, teachers who are transitioning from Eureka Math® to Eureka Math2 will investigate the similarities and differences between the structure, design and components of the two curricula while engaging with the new curriculum's print and digital resources. Teachers will explore the instructional role of all the curriculum resources (including Eureka Math2 Equip for those who have purchased it) and be prepared to facilitate lessons with students. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
Teach: Effective Instruction with Eureka Math2
This one-day session provides teachers with a process for and practice with effective planning and instruction using the curriculum materials. Planning and preparation will include the Eureka Math2 Equip resources for those who have purchased it. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
SUSTAINING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Seasoned practitioners who have completed the foundational courses can deepen their understanding of the curriculum and strengthen their implementation through this advanced coursework.
Assess: Embedded Opportunities to Inform Instruction
This half-day session extends the learning from “Teach: Effective Instruction with Eureka Math2” to more deeply explore assessment opportunities that are an integral part of instruction rather than as separate, isolated events. Participants will explore the suite of assessments provided with Eureka Math2 and understand each component’s role in making inferences about next-step instructional decisions, reflecting on instructional practice, and accurately communicating students’ proficiency with mathematical content. Participants will leave this session feeling more comfortable and confident navigating the assessment system of Eureka Math2. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–2, Grade Levels 3–5, or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
Adapt: Optimizing Instruction
In this one-day session, teachers will build upon the framework from "Teach: Effective Instruction with Eureka Math2" to further develop their capacity to effectively use the curriculum materials and student data to facilitate instruction that supports all learners in accessing grade-level content. Participants will leave this session feeling empowered to use student data to optimize instruction, responding to the needs of the individual learners in their classrooms. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–2, Grade Levels 3–5, or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
Inspire: Discourse, Engagement, and Identity*
In this one-day session, teachers will experience the ways in which they shape their students’ identities and the learning community through their language and instructional decisions, as well as by fostering discourse and engagement. They will leave prepared to optimize discourse and engagement, inspiring all students to see themselves as doers and thinkers of mathematics. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels K–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
*Available Late 2023.
Product-Specific Professional Development
In addition to our Foundational and Sustaining track of learning, Eureka Math2 writers have created a special session to support districts that purchased Eureka Math2 Equip to address continuous and unfinished learning.
Accelerate: Access Grade-Level Content by Using Eureka Math2 Equip*
This half-day session is intended for districts that purchase Eureka Math2 Equip after participating in any of the first three recommended sessions. Teachers will learn how to use Eureka Math2 Equip effectively to address students' unfinished learning and give all students access to grade-level content. Educators can choose between a session for Grade Levels 1–5 or Grade Level 6–Algebra I.
*Available February 2023. This session is for users whose school or district did not initially purchase Eureka Math2 Equip as a part of their Eureka Math2 bundle.
