Personalized Coaching

This offering builds leaders’ capacity to support and improve implementation through flexible coaching tailored to meet their needs.

Through multiple classroom observations, leaders are introduced to and refine their use of the Wit & Wisdom Teaching and Learning Progression tool. Leaders benefit from identifying strengths and opportunities in any stage of implementation, leaving each session with coherent next steps to improve instruction. Each Guided Observation for Leaders session can accommodate a group of 10 instructional leaders. 

Designed specifically for leaders, these sessions explore three key elements of Wit & Wisdom’s design: knowledge-building, complex texts, and writing. This series is appropriate for leaders in the first two years of implementation as they build foundational knowledge of the curriculum. Each virtual session can accommodate up to 35 instructional leaders.

These series are designed to strengthen Wit & Wisdom implementation by

• deepening teachers’, coaches’, and leaders’ understanding of topics or skills essential to effective Wit & Wisdom implementation, and
• guiding them to more effectively prepare for, implement, observe, analyze, and coach instruction.

Grounded in Wit & Wisdom’s Teaching and Learning Progression and a cycle of learning, preparation, implementation, observation, and reflection, the sessions within the series target specific leader and teacher implementation needs while also providing a coherent and shared learning experience for all educators within the school.

Great Minds coaches are experienced in leading Wit & Wisdom and Geodes implementation in their own districts. They bring this expertise to leaders to provide flexible, needs-based consultation hours. Virtual sessions can accommodate up to 10 instructional leaders.
