We can't let anything—including a pandemic—stop students from building knowledge about the world around them. So we won't stop building knowledge. We will help teachers keep teaching to ensure students excel even in this ever-changing educational landscape.
With PhD Science in Sync®, we empower teachers to seamlessly toggle between in-person and at-home learning. The tools it provides are designed specifically to meet this moment and to arm teachers and students with unstoppable knowledge.
PhD Science lessons and investigations have been adapted to a distance learning environment, including read alouds of supporting texts for a module. The videos are available in English and Spanish. After each video students will complete lesson-specific tasks in their Science Journals. Watch the Level 4 Module 1 Lesson 2a video to see the student experience.
After or during each video lesson students will be asked to complete work in their Science Journal. These are Fillable PDFs focused on the essential learning of the lesson and are available in both English and Spanish.
This fall will look different. To help teachers meet the demands of hybrid learning, we’ve created the Learn Anywhere Plan through the Great Minds in Sync digital platform. The online plan provides a pacing guide to help teachers plan daily lessons for students who are learning in class or at home. The plan highlights the following:
Sample student responses to Science Journal tasks help teachers gauge student understanding. Science Journal Support is available in English and Spanish.
