Pilot Resources
Pilot Resources for Teachers
Eureka Math² California Edition presents mathematics learning as a coherent story, leveraging connections between concepts and big ideas to support deep conceptual understanding. Although each module is centered around its own big idea, lessons give students many opportunities to make connections to the content of other modules and content areas.
Every lesson in Eureka Math² California Edition contains a language objective and research-based supports to help all students, including multilingual learners, engage with the curriculum’s language rich, discourse-based lessons.
The 2024 California Mathematics Framework calls for greater emphasis on data science. Lessons help students build a conceptual understanding of data and statistics. Educators who use Eureka Math² California Edition also have access to supplemental data science materials that help students make sense of data in real-world contexts and use data to make decisions.
The core curriculum and supplemental materials are created with California’s Environmental Principles and Concepts in mind. Core lessons and other instructional resources embed content that brings this part of the Framework to life.
Eureka Math² California Edition is focused on honoring all individuals as valuable contributors to the math classroom, helping shape students’ sense of themselves as capable learners.
The Eureka Math2 California Pilot Checklist offers step-by-step guidance before, during, and after piloting for both leaders and teachers.
The Ready-Set-Go Guide introduces the Teach, Learn, and Apply books and highlights key features of the integrated digital experience.
Pilot Resources for Students & Families
Grades K–5
Family Math letters provide a topic overview that includes a content narrative, images of models and strategies, and key terminology. It also includes ideas for topic-related math activities that may be done at home or in school. In Levels 1–5, they are found in the Apply book. In Level K, the Family Math component is included in the Learn book.

Grade 1–Algebra I
Practice problems for each lesson include mixed practice of related skills. This helps students solidify their conceptual understanding and procedural skills, transfer knowledge to new applications, and build fluency. Remember problems help students recall previously learned concepts and skills. While Practice problems related to the day’s lesson help solidify new learning, Remember problems keep students sharp with familiar concepts. In Level 6–Algebra I, Practice is included in the Learn book.
Access samples of Practice & Remember Problems:
Grades 1–5
Each Practice has a parallel supporting Practice Partner that shows problems like those worked on in class and an example of the thinking that helps students solve those problems. Practice Partners serve as a useful tool for students to solve the Practice and Remember problems, as well as a guide for families who may be supporting their student with the Practice and Remember problems at home.
