Ensuring A Successful

Capsule PD Session
Launch: Bringing Eureka Math2 to Life


Teachers new to math curriculum will investigate the structure, design, and components of Eureka Math2while engaging with the curriculum's print and digital resources. Teachers will explore the instructional role of all the curriculum resources and be prepared to facilitate lessons with students.


Using the Digital Platform & Implementation Resources 
Session 1

Participants leave this session with an understanding of the implementation resources in the digital platform at the module, topic, and lesson levels. 


Lesson Planning & Pacing
Session 2

Participants learn about the planning protocols at the module, topic, and lesson level. This session will highlight considerations to make when planning lessons to support the suggested pacing of Eureka Math2 lessons.


Assessments
Session 3

Participants experience how Eureka Math2 leverages consistent, intentional instructional routines to promote equity, engagement, and deep mathematical thinking. This session highlights how these routines can create space for every learner to contribute and grow. 


Fluency
Session 4

Participants develop an understanding of the Fluency component in Eureka Math2 lessons, their purpose, and how to use fluency activities to meet the needs of students.


Providing Access for All Students
Session 5

Participants explore the instructional routines, engagement strategies, and learning supports embedded within the Eureka Math2 lessons that provide scaffolds to create engaging math classrooms for all learners. 


Creating Math Discourse   
Session 6

Participants discover the discourse structures used throughout the Eureka Math2 curriculum to ensure students are talking about math and have opportunities to share ideas, clarify understanding, learn from a variety of perspectives, and develop language for expressing mathematical ideas.  


Solving Word Problems  
Session 7

Participants learn about the systematic problem-solving routines used in Eureka Math2, including Read–Draw–Write (RDW) in K–5, and Read Represent Solve and Summarize (RRSS) in 6–8. These routines provide multiple entry points and access for students across various proficiency levels to solve word problems.
