Capsule PD Session
Launch: Bringing Eureka Math2 to Life

Teachers new to math curriculum will investigate the structure, design, and components of Eureka Math2while engaging with the curriculum's print and digital resources. Teachers will explore the instructional role of all the curriculum resources and be prepared to facilitate lessons with students.

Using the Digital Platform & Implementation Resources
Session 1

Participants leave this session with an understanding of the implementation resources in the digital platform at the module, topic, and lesson levels.

Preparation Protocols
Session 2

Participants learn about the planning protocols at the module, topic, and lesson level. This session will highlight the impact of studying a collection of lessons to understand the trajectory of learning across a topic.

Instructional Routines that Promote Equity and Engagement
Session 3

Participants experience how Eureka Math² leverages consistent, intentional instructional routines to promote equity, engagement, and deep mathematical thinking. This session highlights how these routines can create space for every learner to contribute and grow.

Assessment Overview
Session 4

Participants explore the variety of assessments used across grade bands and where to access the assessment components both digitally and in print.

Fluency
Session 5

Participants develop an understanding of the Fluency component in Eureka Math2 lessons, their purpose, and how to use fluency activities to meet the needs of students.

Solving Word Problems
Session 6

Participants learn about the systematic problem-solving routines used in Eureka Math2, including Read–Draw–Write (RDW) in K–5, and Read Represent Solve and Summarize (RRSS) in 6–8. These routines provide multiple entry points and access for students across various proficiency levels to solve word problems.

Providing Access for All Students
Session 7

Participants will discover how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles are applied in Eureka Math² and explore built-in supports that help create accessible, inclusive classrooms for all learners.

Creating Math Discourse
Session 8

Participants discover the discourse structures used throughout the Eureka Math2 curriculum to ensure students are talking about math and have opportunities to share ideas, clarify understanding, learn from a variety of perspectives, and develop language for expressing mathematical ideas.

Equip and Performance Assessments in Eureka Math
Session 9

Participants learn how Eureka Math² Equip™ identifies unfinished learning through targeted diagnostics and how Performance Assessments invite students to apply their knowledge in rich, real-world tasks. Together, these tools provide teachers with the insight and opportunities needed to meet students where they are—and move them forward with confidence.

Use Math Catalyst to Elevate Small Group Instruction
Session 10

Participants discover how Math Catalyst empowers educators to turn assessment insights into targeted, high-impact instruction. Whether it's through formative assessment during the learning or summative assessment after the learning, educators need resources to help support what comes after they've identified that students need additional support to master the content.

Cultivating Curious Thinkers with Data Talks
Session 11

Participants investigate Data Talks, an innovative set of data science activities designed to help students build confidence in analyzing real-world data. This experience allows participants to discover how Data Talks support students in making meaningful observations, asking thoughtful questions, and developing the habits of mind that fuel data literacy.

Please have your print or digital Teach book and any applicable handouts available for each session.
