Learn how to make student thinking visible in your classroom. A balanced math curriculum includes opportunities for students to apply prior knowledge to solve real-world problems. Open-middle and low-floor, high-ceiling tasks spark curiosity, promote reasoning, and encourage discourse. Join us to explore the instructional approach behind Eureka Math², where student thinking is the center of the math class.

Every learner brings a unique story into the classroom - a combination of language, background, strengths, and needs. In this session, we explore how thoughtful instructional design, grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), honors those stories and meets the full range of learner variability, particularly for multilingual learners in mathematics classrooms. Participants will experience how UDL-aligned lesson features and intentional scaffolds (like UDL and Language Support tools) can reduce barriers and create more access to rigorous math instruction. Come ready to reflect, collaborate, and reimagine your math lessons through the lens of powerful instructional design.

Fractions can feel abstract for many students, but they don’t have to. This session invites educators and leaders to explore practical, classroom-ready ways to build true fraction understanding. Using visual models, number lines, and reasoning-focused routines, participants will learn how to help students move beyond memorized tricks to develop fraction fluency rooted in sense-making. Aligned with the spirit of the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards, the session emphasizes fluency that grows from conceptual clarity, purposeful practice, and confident reasoning - supporting all learners, including those who need additional scaffolds.
